The first time I stood in front of a Giovanni Paolo Panini in New York, I didn't leave for almost two hours. Every time I thought I had seen everything, another figure appeared. Another painting inside the painting. Another angle. That afternoon is the reason Opposia™ exists.
The most famous painting in the world shows us a woman looking out. But she is looking at something — a room, a window, a person, a moment. Five hundred years of eyes on her, and no one had ever painted what she was looking at. Opposia™ did.
If Leonardo had turned around, he would have seen the wall of the refectory in Milan, the light from the windows, the monks eating at their long tables. We reconstructed that room — the view Leonardo saw over his shoulder while he worked.
